today
charleigh is the only one who really cared.

so this morning,
charleigh and i were outback watering flowers and plants in baskets, pots and on the ground. planted in 2 pots next to each other are a fern and some dill. my little wet helper was paying special attention to these two. over watering the crap outta them while chanting, "dill, fern, dill, fern, dill". "hey mommy!" she exclaimed. "thats where we live mom, fern dill michigan!"she was so super proud.
i love watching new wonder and amazement in my little ones.

tigers vs. yankies

scott and i took leah and charleigh to a tigers baseball game. it was leah's 3rd game and charleigh's 1st. we were able to score really good tickets from some of scotts season ticket holder friends. c.j. was pretty nervous when we first got there. she doesnt get out much, lol. she clenched to her daddy and complained about the loud noise. soon enough she was cheering, dancing, singing and flirting with the people behind us. leah escorted her sister on the merry-go-round, which charleigh called a marigold. we had hot dogs and cotton candy. i couldnt have asked for a better date.

the name game
leah and charleigh have a fish tank in their bedroom. it is a smallish tank with pink rocks at the bottom. it sits on top of charleighs dresser. the light on the tank is used as the girls night light.
charleigh named the creatures that live in the under water oasis. snailey is the snail, swimmey is the fish, and sucky is the sucker\algae eater fish. charleigh is quite creative in naming her friends.
often she lines up her baby dolls. all in a row, half naked, covered with blankets. all snuggled up. their names are just about always, rudy, tootie, boobie, rudy (again) and noodle. thought id just throw that out there.

charleigh jane the bully
charleigh has been hitting mary a lot lately. she is 3 and a half where as mary is almost 2. ceej is being quite the bully. it is driving me absolutely crazy. today i went to the extremes.
she has begun lying, saying that mary is hitting her when im not watching...i hear mary scream in pain and charleigh yell, 'mary! dont hit!' at first i didnt know who to believe, but marys tears are pretty obvious in this who-done-it case. so any way, ive done everything to stop the hitting, time-out, taken away toys, hit her myself, lectures, etc... nothing seems to be doing the trick.
today at lunch i did i think the meanest thing ever. i told her if she continues to hit, she will have to live with another family. i caught her attention. she would have an ugly bedroom with black walls and no toys, a really mean mom and dad that didnt love her, and no baby brother jax. i related her hitting, to roxy, a dog we no longer have. roxie has a different family because she bit our neighbor. ceej had about a million questions and ended up in tears. i instilled how important it is never to hit, all the reasons, and the consequence.
so hopefully she is done hitting. or this is just the beginning of years of therapy. hopefully what i did will turn out positive. any parenting advise on this matter would be wonderfully appreciated.
